Advertising information.
Advertising on this site is open to property owners only
Hi,
Hopefully you will have seen some of
the few ads already on site so will have an idea of what is wanted. There is plenty of room, so what I would like
is the equivalent of a moderate brochure. Each property is advertised separately
(if possible) with links to each other. Whilst the advertising is free, I do ask for a small charge of 1% of your booking fee only after you have been paid in full.
i.e. no bookings = no fees, ever. I rely on your honesty.
I have nothing to do with bookings, you are contacted directly.
First page is home page = 2 photos plus a general write up of your
Second page is facilities = 2 photos and write up of accommodation Etc..
Third page is leisure = 2 photos and write up of leisure activities
in the area.
Fourth page is Tariff =
Fifth page = Booking form and conditions (not for
chambres d’hote)(when booking form is printed, conditions are also)
Also I would like:- an accurate location
of your property for a map indicator,
Any special conditions like no smoking,
pets, fuel inclusive, linen hire, etc. should be included. Please remember this
is an advert and should not contain specific details of how to get
from “A” to “B” or lists of facts and figures. I will not show details of how
to get to your property as this may give criminals ideas.
Try to sell your property in general terms.

As this is a totally free to advertise site with costs covered by a miniscule commission,
I have aimed at keeping my site as simple
as possible with no confusing graphics, so making it easy to navigate. There is
no interaction or automated booking. I am always open to suggestions for improvements.
Just
supply the info so that I can work on it. I want all properties to have the same
basic layout for ease of site use.
I prefer not to take material from websites as it is nice to have the input from the owners and I don't put up the wrong info.
The aim is for prospective customers
to contact you to confirm availability, confirm intention to book, then download
a booking form and conditions to complete and send off as normal. (I have changed
the availability page to tariff with details of costs etc. and no booking details
as very few people sent their changes leaving the page always out of date).
The only updating will be price changes and/or content change.
I would prefer the text as an attached
Word file (write it as if it were an essay covering each subject in turn).
Photos as part of the word doc or separate as jpegs. I reduce photos to
250 pixels on longest side so if yours are a bit larger it will give me something
to work on. Scanned text is no good. Otherwise just pop it all in an envelope
and post to:-

All photos will be returned.
Once on line you will be asked to check
out your site for errors and for link operation. Hopefully I won’t have missed
anything, but for me to recheck each property after uploading would take me for
ever. I will make any amendments immediately.
One final point is that renting your property whilst you are subject to the british tax system means you must declare your earnings. I recieved a call out of the blue from the tax man and was told that regardless of all else one must declare to them. Failure to do so can be very expensive!!!
