There are two large ground floor rooms. "Le Salon" a huge room, 9.5m x 4.5m, with a picture window and patio doors overlooking the south west facing private courtyard. The room is open plan with a large kitchen area at one end with dishwasher, combination oven (microwave, oven and grill all in one), separate oven and hob, fridge-freezer, toaster, filter coffee machine, electric kettle and lots of crockery, glasses and dishes. There is a large dining table, comfortably seating 6, sideboards (look inside for the selection of games) coffee tables and a sofa and armchair for relaxing. A wood burning stove makes the room extremely cosy in the cooler seasons. There is additional electric heating if required. "Le sejour" a beautiful sitting room, 5m x 5m, with a traditional flagstone floor, huge Burgundian open fireplace, wood ceiling and comfy seating. French doors overlook the charming courtyard. There is a TV and video - bring your own favourites or risk ours! |
The "courtyard" is planted with beautiful roses, shrubs, bulbs and flowers. It is secluded, south west facing outdoor room that allows you to enjoy your meals and relax overlooking the garden and Morvan hills. The sunsets are spectacular. There is a central decked area with table, chairs and parasols. The rest of the large "garden" is laid to lawn with mature cherry, peach, pear and apple trees. Help yourself to anything that is ripe. There is a double "garage" that houses a pool table and table football game for the enthusiasts.
| The ground floor "shower room" is a good sized room with loo, basin, and a large corner shower that you can move around in without bashing your elbows! Electric heating keeps it warm and snug when needed. A ground floor "utility room" has a washing machine and ample drying space and room to house the walking boots and coats. In case you feel the need, there is an ironing board and iron. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, cool in the warm/hot months and snug in the winter with electric heating. All rooms are provided with light duvets for the warm nights and warm ones for the cooler nights. The "Master bedroom" has a really comfy king sized bed. Of course there are bedside tables, lights, rugs and a spacious wardrobe with shelving, lots of hanging spaces and hangers! The "Twin Room" has two twin beds, wardrobe, bedside table - all that you'd expect really. The "Bunk Room" has full sized wooden bunk beds and a chest of drawers. |
