Less than three
hours from Cherbourg/Caen. Just 20 minutes from St Malo
and the fast ferry service from Poole by Condor ferries, or from Poole and Portsmouth
by conventional ferry. Dinard airport is only 15 minutes away.

Les Landes is a small hamlet two miles from the sea and just twenty minutes west from the historic walled port of St. Malo. The drive will take you across the Barrage de la Rance, a magnificent hydro-electric dam that exploits the uniquely powerful tidal flows in the river estuary between St. Malo and Dinard. Life is quiet with friendly local neighbours, a large garden and a safe frontage well away from the, anyway very quiet, road. Midway between the market town of Ploubalay (nearest at one and a half miles) and the sleepy village of Plessix-Balisson, the local lanes are ideal for cycling or walking to work up an appetite for dinner. |
" Les Landes" is a south-facing four bedroomed house at the beginning of a small terrace of five cottages.
| At Ploubalay you will find two supermarkets, bakers, banks, a fishmonger, charcuteries, butchers, a chemist and a post office. The ancient town of Dinan is only a quarter of an hour's drive away as is the popular resort of Dinard. For those wanting some tax free shopping there are day trips from St. Malo to the Channel Islands. Mont St Michel is 45 minutes away and Rennes can be reached in about the same time. Good eating is assured by the plentiful number of restaurants, many specialising in the renowned local sea food. | ![]() |
