Tennis courts and several restaurants and bars only fifteen minutes walk from the barn. The attractive river Orne passes through lower Clecy, where there are riverside hotels and restaurants serving different tastes, ranging from snacks to very good menus. There are pedalos, canoes and rowing boats for hire and the river is shallow, good for trout fishing ( local licences available ) and paddling with plenty of picnic spots. Clecy also has an excellent miniature railway museum, with a small external track for rides in summer.

Points of Interest Brochures in the barn will give you information about local activities, there is a tourist information office in Clecy which will help you plan your holiday.

The barn is centrally located in Normandy and provides access to the large beaches to the north and west ( War history and ideal for families ), Mont St. Michel, Bayeux, Le Mans and Paris. Sightseeing There are too many places of historical interest to list, however the tourist offices have all the necessary information. Villedieu des Poeles is certainly worth a visit. Restaurants Too many too mention, suffice it to say that you are in the heart of Calvados country, the fixed price menus are good value. We hope this gives you some idea of the many activities in the region. You can always relax on the patio ( south facing ) with a glass of wine or two and think about what to do tomorrow !!!!
