The Barn
Sleeps 9
![]() | Le Hameau Sebire is a tiny hamlet situated in the heart of the Suisse Normande. Its peaceful location is ideal for a relaxing holiday with easy access to all places of interest in Normandy. There is a country road passing some 100 metres from the barn, which climbs slowly up through a wooded valley. The barn itself is split into two separate dwellings and is situated at the end of a driveway with courtyard space for several vehicles. To the rear of the property are a patio, garden and large lawn, which adjoins a small meadow. The barn is stone built, parts of which date back to the seventeenth century. It was originally used to keep animals and to store hay and the basic structure is original with some of the old beams retained during renovation. The barn is surrounded by farmland and in the local area are poultry farms, geese, horses, sheep, cows and apple trees. A farm shop is behind the barn and specialises in pork, chicken, pate and eggs. |

There is also a post office, phone box, Clecy is at the heart of an interesting geographical part of Normandy known as the Suisse Normande. The name originates from the many steep rocky escarpments in the area ( ideal for rock climbing and hang gliding ) The nearest town is Conde sur Noireau, which is situated some 8 kilometres south-west and has most of the facilities that may be required e.g. banks, supermarkets etc. Conde stands on the river Noireau and this river and the Orne meet at Pont d'Ouilly.
