La Folie

Famous as a sea faring region, a Celtic region different to any other part of France. Close to the Channel, autumn and Spring breaks are a viable proposition. Lower ferry and gite prices coupled to the very attractive low priced wine/spirits (often even less on promotion in autumn) always on offer, added to clear roads to all the varied and beautiful coastline make this a region not to be missed. Plenty to see and do, loads of wildlife to see, walks along unspoilt lanes, history all about you. Why not come for a short break, buy your Christmas/ Easter drinks, enjoy the gastronomic delights available and chill out amid oak beams and log fires with local hospitality 2nd to none, all at bargain prices. Come on treat yourself. (3 courses as low as £6 per person)

Benefiting from the effects of the Gulf stream, Brittany's climate is surprisingly mild for its northern position and is, on average, a few degrees warmer than southern England.

The Property: The comfortable property - well over one hundred years old - tastefully renovated to a high standard, but retaining its charm through, amongst other features, use of exposed beams throughout. It stands in a tranquil lakeside quarter of an acre - part of the river Couesnon - one mile to the North of Antrain. An attractive Ville Fleurie (Town in Flower), some thirty miles from St Malo, twelve from Mont-St-Michel and sixteen from Fougeres, in a small hamlet just off of the road leading from Antrain to Pontorson. The secluded South facing garden, overlooking a small lake - part of the river Couesnon - and the surrounding countryside, is mainly laid to grass with some fruit trees, a terrace to the rear of the property equipped with garden furniture, children's swing and a barbecue.
