Photo? La Pineliere is situated close to the border between Brittany and Normandy; the nearest town is Villedieu les Poeles, which is about an hour's drive from the ferry ports of Caen and Cherbourg. You are about half an hour's drive from some of the best beaches in Manche and for cooler walks visit the forest at St Sever. Villedieu (famous for it's copper ware) has a good variety of unusual museums including a traditional bell foundry, which is open to the public.

There are no shortage of good restaurants and bars plus on each weekday there is always a market at one of the nearby towns or villages, an experience not to be missed! Many fetes are held throughout the summer in most of the villages, again, well worth a visit.

If you want to travel a little further afield, then places like St Malo, Le Mont St Michel and Dinan (really good for it's arts and crafts shops) make for a good day out. As well as an abundance of museums and chateaux there is also something for the more adventurous ones, such as bungy jumping or maybe microgliding. However, for those of you who fancy a quiet round of golf or just a bit of fishing it can all be found here in Normandy. Photo?
